Boys are Idiots!

Hey yall! Sorry if there are any guys reaidng this, but guys are idiots! You have the guys who are complete douchebags, and then there's the totally sweet guys who are scared to do anything. It doesn't help that in the Christian community guys are the ones who are supposed to pursue the girls, which is tough cuz they aren't good at reading signals. It's like my roommate. Her and one of my guy bestfriends have liked each other for over a year and have just recently admitted that they liked each other. They didn't know whether to go ahead and pursue the relationship or remain friends for now, so they prayed it out and let God take it over. Well after talking, he decided that they needed to remain friends for now cuz he doesn't have the time to pursue the way she deserves to be pursued. It seriously sucks cuz she really likes this guy, and she doesn't crush on guys much, but the worst part is that no one can hate him or be mad cuz he is a great guy! He isn't a douche and always has her best interests in mind, even if it's not what it looks like on the outside. They both are relying heavily on the Lord, and I just hate that she has to deal with all of this right now. I don't know how it feels to have my heary broken by a great Christian guy, but I can tell you that just being rejected by non-Christian douchebags hurts bad enough, and I don't know what I would do if the guy were actually a good guy. I wish guys were just simple to understand! Girls aren't always easy to read to, but you can at least tell when a girl likes you. Guys can be idiots sometimes most of the time! I pray that God  has His way in all of your hearts and finds a great guy for all of you cuz you deserve it. Relationships in themselves are tricky, but the only way to know if it's the right one is to take it to God.

2 Blogs for the Price of 1

Hey yall! I'm sorry I didn't post last week, it was a super busy midterm week! So to make up for it I'm actually posting basically 2 posts in this 1, which coincidently kinda go hand-in-hand.

The first topic I wanna talk about is how AMAZING God is! He has revealed a lot to me since Fall Getaway! Fall Getaway was a great experience to grow closer to people, but I also became closer to God through the sermons & just different senarios that occured that weekend. The main thing He taught me was that I need to learn patience (yes, I know I have to live up to my name). He has special timing for everything that goes on in my life. For example, at the beginning of the semester I prayed that I would become closer to the guys in Cru because I was feeling a little distant from them, especially the men. Then He answered my prayers not too long ago & I would say that I have a ton of really great guy friends who I am also proud to call brothers in Christ. The other night, I was getting ready to leave to head home for fall break, and my car suddenly died. So I called my friend Ben (after I had tried calling my friend Amanda, who didn't know how to jump a car) & he brought our friend Ricky with him (who actually knew how to jump a car). Within 30 minutes they came & had gotten my car started for me & I got home safely later that night. It so amazing how He can answer one simple little prayer in so many ways! He has also blessed me with some amazing girl friends too! I can't forget that I have the greatest friends in the entire world! Heck! My roommate is throwing me a huge birthday suprise & is incorporating all of our friends from Cru plus 2 of my oldest friends who live down the hall from us PLUS 2 of my best friends from back home. None of this would even be possible without Him! If you don't believe in Him, then I would at least suggest reading the Bible & learning from His Word, & also I am here to help if you have any questions.

Going back to the guy friend subject, God has blessed me with guy friends, but I'm also waiting for God to point me towards the guy that He has planned for me. There's a certain type of guy that I am looking for:

• has to be male (sorry ladies, I don't swing that way)
• has to love the Lord more than I do
• has to be really nice
• has to have a sense of humor & be able to make me laugh
• can't take themselves too seriously
• has to be ok with my "bro-ness"
• has to love music
• has to have decent hair (no mullets, hair has to be shorter than mine, & no baldness)
• has to respect me & values
• has to be unique
• has to be able to watch movies that I like & I'll watch movies he likes
• has to be a dog lover
• looks don't necessarily matter, but I have to be somewhat attracted to him
• has to get along with my family & friends

Am I Really Turning 21?!

Hey yall! In just 2 weeks this girl is gonna be turning the big 2-1. My birthday is October 18th, and it's so strange to say that it's almost my birthday much less my 21st! Time seems like it's flown by since I turned 16, 18, 20, & any of the major ages. Felisha, Shelby, Cory, & some of my other best friends have already secretly planned out stuff for the weekend of my birthday, but just about everyone knows but me. I kinda wanna know but I also like that I have something to look forward to. I seriously have the BEST friends a girl could ask for! Felisha is the mastermind behind the whole thing & it's so sweet that she would take time out her busy schedule just to plan things for lil ole me!

The question on everyone's mind her, including mine, is what do I want for my birthday. Whenever someone asks, I respond that I have no idea. Honestly this year when it came to what I want, all I can think of is just getting to spend time with people that mean the most to me. Maybe we could go to dinner, get coffee, or just something small like that. There's obviously things I want, but those are things that are what I think of when I save up enough money or just things that I only see as dreams, not reality. So stressful! But I know whatever I get is gonna be great!

To all my friends who are reading this (you know who you are), I love yall so freaking much! I thank God that he placed you all in my life! <333
