Fall Getaway & A Good Friend

Okay I know that I was originally gonna post a blog only once a week, but I've been wanting to blog about this for a little while & I can't wait a week to post this. First off, I wanted say that I'm freaking excited about Fall Getaway this weekend with Cru. That means no work, no school, just hanging with my friends, my Bible study, & getting to meet new people & have fun. We'll be sleeping in cabins, having a bonfire, playing games, listening to a speaker, & most importantly....going to E-TOWN HOEDOWN!!!! =D This weekend is gonna be really fun & everyone who's gone says you never regret going, & will regret if you don't go. I can't wait!!!!!!!

In other news, the person that I'm featuring in today's blog is in a few bands, but his main passion is film. Introducing, Albert Gonzalez! He has directed several short films, such as "The Desk" & "Stay Out of the Woods", as well as several music videos for bands such as The After Party, Coleman & Chris, The Great Commission, & others. Along with directing he also tours with 3 different bands. He sings lead vocals for Hematidrosis & on the side he fills in on bass for The Great Commission & A Bullet for Pretty Boy. All 3 are heavy metal bands, but I think you will like them even if you're not a heavy metal fan. Albert is from Houston, TX & is one of the most humble guys I have met. If you get a chance check him out on Youtube at youtube.com/albertishollywood, twitter at twitter.com/albertgfilms, & facebook at facebook.com/albertgonzalezfilms. I've had the pleasure to meet him & the guys from The Great Commission this summer & I can honestly say they are all great guys! So if you do anything today, do yourself a favor & at least check out Albert's films, you won't be disappointed (& yes I'm aware that I say that in every blog, but it's true). Oh & before I forget, he has a new horror film coming to Youtube on October 4th, so be sure to check that out also. =)

New Week, New Blog

I got a lot of views on my first blog, so I'm guessing everyone likes it so far. Since I posted last a lot have things have happened. I made a lip-dub of "As Long As You Love Me" on my Youtube channel, hung out with my best friends, took some exams, tweeted, facebooked (& yes that's a word in my book), went to Cru & Bible study, worked, flirted with the cute guy at work, & even met some really cool people. I also listened to some great music, which actually brings me to the point of this blog...new music to share with you guys! This week I wanna tell you guys about a great artist who I have been a fan of for about a year. His name is Taylor Thrash & he's a singer/songwriter originally from Dallas, TX but he now resides in Celina, TX. If you're into cheesy pop, love songs, break-up songs, fun songs, sad songs, or even a little rap mixed in, then you'll love Taylor! He has just recently started doing raps on the side under the name T. Thrash, but his main passion is singing & he puts his heart into his music. Even if you don't like pop music, I strongly believe you'll love his music. He released his debut full-length album, called Step Forward, about a month ago. You can find it on iTunes or on his website TaylorThrash.com. Also follow him on twitter (twitter.com/taylorthrash), facebook (facebook.com/taylorthrash), & purevolume (purevolume.com/taylorthrash). You can subscribe to his Youtube channel too, youtube.com/taylorthrash. Like I said before, I strongly believe you will love his music! Check it out & let me know what you think! I've given you all the ways to listen to his music so you have no excuse, go & listen. If you have anyone you would like for me to check out or feature next week just leave it in the comments & I will definitely check them out.  =)

Hey World!

So this is my new blog, where I will try to start posting stuff. Welcome! If you're reading this then you're pretty awesome & I already love you! Some of my other college friends blog so I figured what the heck, someone out there probably cares about what I have to say. Before I go any further, let me introduce myself. My name is Patience and I'm a sophomore in college. I'm a huge lover of God and believe he is the one & only Savior. Don't worry I'm not one of those Christians who shoves religion down your throat, I mean really who wants that. Instead I will push a bunch of music in your face. I'm a singer, but I also check out a lot of unsigned bands or just bands who haven't been heard of. Some of the music I love is mainstream, such as Demi Lovato and One Direction (don't judge me). I could go on for days about how much music has influenced my life & how much I love it, but I'll stop right here. For now I'll just offer some music suggestions. First off check out Stephen Jerzak & Dylan Lloyd. They just released a new EP on iTunes called "What Could Be Better?" You can also go to Stephen's Youtube channel (www.youtube.com/stephenjerzak) & check out some of his music & covers. He's a pop singer originally from La Crosse, WI & now resides in Nashville, TN with his girlfriend Cassy. I don't know much about Dylan yet since I just started listening to him, but his Youtube channel is www.youtube.com/dylanlloyd923. Both of these artists both have twitters that are the same URL's as their Youtube channels. Give them a chance, you won't regret it! Also if you buy the EP & send pictures of your proof of purchase & your review  to whatcouldbebetterep@gmail.com, you will get a personal phone call from Stephen & Dylan. Also don't forget to send your phone number along with the pictures. What Could Be Better?! (get it?) Okay so I'll shut up now, but you should go check out their EP on iTunes. I'll try to post about once a week at least. Leave comments or whatever, & if you have any music suggestions leave them in the comments too. =)
