Spring Semester Has Begun!

Hello people of the interwebs! I hope yall are having a fantabulous week so far! I know I am (well for the most part). My classes are going great so far! I;m moving into my new dorm in just 2 weeks! & I have Cru tonight! Woot woot! =D The only down sides to this week have been that I got into a fight with my best friend (but we made up so things are good now), the weather is cold & rainy & a lil icy, & I kinda overslept for my 8:25 AM lab this morning (but it's cool cuz he didn't take attendance & said the quiz didn't count for any point). I'd have to say that God has definitely been on my side! <3 I'm so glad to be back at EKU, where I actually feel like I belong. At home, it feels like all I do is work, eat, sleep, & maybe have a lil time in to hang out with my friends. If it weren't for my family & the few friends that I do have back at home left, I don't know if I would've survived my winter break! A month is just too freaking long to be away! I also have come to the decision that I'm just giving up on guys for a while until God brings someone into my life that will treat me right & won't try to change me into a whore or someone who thinks she has to have a man to be happy. I should have been doing this the whole time, but I was too wrapped up in what I wanted & the fact that the guy I've been in love with since 4th grade & the guy who I've crushed on since sophomore year of high school just both happened to ask me to "hang out" then broke my heart cuz I read too much into the situations. It was God's way of saying that I deserve someone so much better, but if I had waited for his timing then I wouldn't have ended up in those situations. What I guess I mean is, I let myself turn into one of "those" girls who only think about boys all the time for just a moment. I'm not gonna say that my 4th grade crush isn't a great kisser (cuz he is) but even though we didn't anything but makeout, I left with bruises & marks where he pretty much abused me. Then he never called or texted me except for once the next day. Which is another thing God taught me: to let go of people that hurt me or try to change me for the worse. I had to end up doing that to this guy, but I still wanna be his friend. He'll always be my best friend & I still love him & his entire family, but I've been chasing a boy who will never return those feelings for much too long. It hurts to let go, but the end result is WAY better!

I don't really have any music thing prepared this week, but I have watched part of "The Cup Song" from Pitch Perfect & it's stuck in my head! So go on youtube & go watch the amazingness of any of the versions online. Try it out & tell me if you can sing & do the cup thing. I've got them both down separately, but I haven't quite mastered both yet. Maybe yall could make a video & post in the comments if you have mastered it. 2013 is here!

Happy New Year! I feel like I haven't been on here in forever! I hope you all had an amazing New Year! I know I did! I went to Greensboro, NC for a winter convention with Cru called Encounter. It was seriously the most amazing experience of my life! I got really close to God this week & it felt so awesome. We went to tons of seminars about different aspects to get closer to God, great music provided by Brooks Ritter, great messages by awesome speakers (who were also college professors), had a Day of Outreach, & we prayed in 2013. I know that doesn't sound all that fun but you had to be there to experience everything that happened. I plan on doing it again next year too! It wasn't just us either, it was Cru from several different colleges from NC, SC, TN, & KY. If you don't know what Cru is, it's Christian Crusaders for Christ. We are a part of colleges all over the US & are one of the largest religious organization. I would seriously encourage you to at least check out one meeting, I promise you'll love it. (& when have I steered you all wrong?) That was my New Year. How was your's? What all did you do? I wanna know so comment below if you are readingn this.

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas

Hello everyone! I hope everyone is having a great week! Finals are over. The semester has ended. It's almost Christmas. & my best friend's birthday is on the 23rd. During all of this there have also been some hard times that have been happening. My friend's dad committed suicide just a day after the the Newtown, CT shooting happened. Since then, everything has been a little gloomy around here. That's why I decided to do something to remind everyone that even though it's a rough time, it's Christmas time AKA the greatest time of the year! This is the time when we celebrate the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem over 2000 years ago. So I did a cover song on my youtube channel of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas". It's not the best quality (& I look a little silly), but I wanted to remind people that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Oops! Sorry I Forgot!

I kinda forgot about posting a blog last week. Well it's finals week, which means I'll have a little more time to write more on this blog & concentrate on chilling (in between hanging out with my friends & working). So I thought since it's gonna be a crazy week for me & all my fellow EKU students, I thought that I would post a video that I found hilarious. I'm sure everyone has heard ALL about Harry Styles & Taylor Swift being together =/, unless you live under a rock then I don't know how you haven't heard. Personally, I love Harry Styles, but Taylor is starting to irk my nerves cuz she dates tons of guys & then writes songs that probably over exaggerate what really happened. Sorry if you're a T-Swift fan, I mean she has some good songs, but I'm just tired of hearing about her being with a new guy each week. So since we know she's probably gonna dump him soon (or he'll dump her), Tim Urban, who you may have seen on American Idol a few years back, has written the song that Taylor will  be singing after the breakup. End of the Semester Stress

Hey yall! How was everyone's week? Mine was a little stressful cuz it's the end of the semester & everything seems to be due! Though it's not a much as a lot of people, it's still a heck a lot of work. Luckily I only have my PHE project left to finish & I'll be finished until my finals. Aside from the crazy week, I died my hair dark brown & got to spend time with some awesome friends! I just can't believe the semester is almost over! It's weird knowing that next week is the last Cru meeting & Bible study for this semester.  I don't know how I feel about it being almost over. But for the most part it has been a good week. =)

This week I decided to go back to featuring artists again (since I've been slacking a lil bit the past few weeks). Let me present to you Aaron Jennings! He's a pop/acoustic singer from Goshen, Indiana. He's performed with many of the bands I've featured in the past. Happy Belated Thanksgiving!!! =D

Hello! If you haven't read the title yet then happy belated Thanksgiving! I hope everyone who celebrates this holiday had a great day, & even if you don't celebrate it I still hope you had a great day. I didn't do much except for eat dinner with some of my family & worked on one of my two big projects that is due next Thurday. Anything happen this week to me? Why yes it did! I went to class only Monday & Tuesday so I got to come home early Tuesday night. The only bad thing was that I found out that the guy that I have a huge crush on isn't looking for a relationship, & the last time I spoke to him (which was on Sunday) I word vommited & embarrassed the crap out of myself. But it's whatever cuz I believe it's all part of God's plan. On the bright side, I got to spend time with my best friend & one of my really good guy friends & his sister on Tuesday night. I really miss hanging out with Kayla & Seth when I'm away at college. Who knows, maybe it's God's plan for me to be with Seth again, but for now I'm ok with us being close friends. But you all are probably tired of me talking about my love problems, so let's move on. I want to know what you all are thankful for. Personally, I'm thankful for God, my family, my friends, my dog, my education, my job, a house, a house, music, my health, & just everything & everyone who has been a part of my life. I'm also thankful to everyone who reads my posts & listens to me blab on about my life. So thank you so much if you're reading this! <3
